I drove back to Centerville Saturday after work; a long needed visit to a magical place – home. Meleia screamed my name over and over when I walked through the door… “daddy daddy daddy!” it was the sweetest voice I had heard in a week. Lyndsay was cooking in the kitchen and Grandma Connie was visiting and feeding Cade. The house was spotless as Lyndsay always keeps it. Everything was so perfect. There really is a sort of magic that surrounds us when we’re home – a strong feeling of truly belonging, of true love.
It was so good to finally see Cade after a week away. He’s grown already and has such a cute little personality. He smiles and can roll his eyes back in his head just like daddy (pretty cool, yep yep).
I played with Meleia all day today and we went grocery shopping together. Meleia’s favorite thing to do with Daddy happens to be grocery shopping. I’m not sure why, but we do have a pretty fantastic time together. I love it when her eyes catch something on the shelf and she demands that I go back and look. We spend a lot of time doing this! And, most of the time it’s something that we need or something that we normally buy. She’s pretty smart for a 3 year old!
Snuggling in bed with Lyndsay was heaven. This is by far what I missed most. I’m the luckiest man alive. Period.
